EMO.......

No aspect of our spiritual life is more important, the quality and meaning of our existence as emotions. They are what makes life livable, or sometimes extension. It is therefore not surprising that most major classical philosophers, Plato, Aristotle, Spinoza, Descartes, Hobbes, Hume was recognizable theories of emotion, allergic reactions to certain types of events with concern on a topic, triggering physical changes and mostly Behavior characteristic of motivation. Surprisingly, is that in many philosophers of the twentieth century, the spirit and psychologists rather neglected perhaps because the sheer variety of phenomena, with the word "emotion" and its closest neighbours rather discourage tidy theory. During recent years, however, emotions were again the centre of strong interest in philosophy, as in other branches of cognitive science. Given the spread of increasingly fruitful exchanges between the various investigations of the band, it is more useful to remain silent regardless of the philosophy of emotion approaches from other disciplines, including psychology, neurology, evolutionary biology and even economics. Admittedly, it is simply impossible to arrange to be here, a few side glances in their direction but their philosophical significance.

Let me begin, on some of the possibilities offered by philosophers have thought that the place of emotions in the topography of the mind, particularly in regard to their physical states, motivations and beliefs and desires, and some of the ways in which they planned the relationship between different emotions. Most emotions have a structure intentional: we have something to say what that means. The psychology and, more recently, the evolution of biology have a number of theories of emotion, stresses its role in the implementation of life. Philosophers have been primarily on theories sometimes cognitivist stresses analogies with propositionale judgments or perception. But a number of different theories ontologies implicit assumption of emotion, and there have been disputes over what are really the emotions, and indeed, whether any type of thing ever. Emotions also an increase of standard of issues: the extent to which it can be considered reasonable, or may contribute to rationality. In this context, the question of our knowledge of our own emotions is particularly problematic, it seems, they are both the object of our awareness immediate and most powerful engine of our capacity for self-deception . The result is a very ambiguous relationship between emotions and morals. Finally, I would like a summary of the main positions defended by philosophers about three dozen of emotion in the last half-century.
